01/26/2012 For the first time Schöck will present the Isokorb® thermal break element at Buildex Conference and Exposition from 8.-9. February at Vancouver Convention Centre West.

We like to invite you to visit us at Buildex Conference and Exposition from 8.-9. February at the Vancouver Convention Centre West.

Buildex is the Western Canada's largest Conference and Exposition for Real Estate, Property Management, Interior Design, Architecture, Renovation and Construction.

You will find us at booth 845 where we will present for the first time our thermal break element the Schöck Isokorb®. Balconies and cantilevers which penetrate the building envelope cause thermal bridges, resulting in significant heat and energy loss. The Isokorb®, thermal break element is the solution for connections with full structural integrity. Schöck Isokorb® thermal break element is a high performance product that eliminates thermal bridges, creates climate stability for lasting comfort, energy savings and environmental benefits.

Of course Schöck will also exhibiting its unrivalled glass fibre reinforcement Schöck ComBAR®, ideal for applications where steel reaches its performance limits.

The Schöck Team will be on hand throughout to discuss your questions and needs. Learn more about thermal bridges at the convention. We look forward to welcome you!

Register to attend the seminar: A Future-Proof Building Envelope: Latest Research and Technology on Wednesday, 8th of February at 8:30am – 10:00am.

The panel of speakers includes: Graham Finch, Building Science Research Engineer, RDH Building Engineering Ltd., Alexander Krenczik, Schoeck Bauteile GmbH, and Mark Lawton, Principal, Morrison Hershfield

Summary of Seminar Topics:

Energy efficiency and indoor air quality are critical issues affecting building performance. With the cost of energy expected to greatly increase, less efficient buildings will have much higher costs, impacting vacancy and rental rates. Research on the thermal performance of a building’s envelope, and the impact of new technologies will be discussed by industry experts on how to increase operation efficiency, avoid indoor air quality issues and enhance property values. Case studies provide valuable insight and lessons learned on how to future-proof buildings for changing building code and energy performance standards.
